Credit Saison Venture Capital launches a Blockchain fund, focusing on startups in the real asset sector.

Golden Finance reported that Credit Saison, Japan's third-largest credit card issuer, has launched the Onigiri Capital blockchain investment fund through its venture capital department, with a total scale of $50 million, having already secured $35 million in investments, and can accept up to an additional $15 million. The fund focuses on early-stage physical asset startups, including stablecoins, payments, asset tokenization, and DeFi, particularly connecting the Asian market, providing a springboard for American entrepreneurs to enter Asia, and combining Silicon Valley innovation with Asian institutional resources. This year, global crypto venture capital financing remains sluggish, raising only about $3.7 billion, mostly flowing into financial services and DeFi projects.
