He criticized Powell for being "too late" and accused him of causing serious policy delays.
Trump also hinted at filing a major lawsuit regarding the alleged $3 billion overrun on the Fed building renovation project, stating that this cost should be $50 million.
He mocked former Treasury Secretary Mnuchin, accusing him of recommending Powell.
Nevertheless, Trump stated that the economy is strong enough to surpass the leadership of the Fed.
