According to news from BiJie.com, Block's (XYZ) payment company Square launched a Bitcoin payment pilot on May 28 during the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas. Participants can complete real-time settlements using the Lighting Network by scanning a barcode, with the transaction exchange rate automatically converted by the Square system. This feature is expected to be available to all customers in 2026, pending regulatory approval.

Miles Suter, the head of Bitcoin products at Square's parent company Block, stated that this initiative aims to provide merchants with an open, decentralized, low-cost payment solution. Currently, the price of Bitcoin is 108,877.70 USD, and the pilot will last for three days.
