India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology launches the "Blockchain India Challenge" to promote blockchain digital governance solutions

Gate News reports that on March 11, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India recently launched the “Blockchain India Challenge,” aimed at promoting blockchain-based digital governance solutions. The challenge’s goal is to develop permissioned blockchain solutions with a focus on regulatory control and security (including trust, auditability, and tamper-proof records) for government applications. As part of the competition, DPIIT will collaborate with government agencies to select a group of startups and provide phased funding to develop ten impactful blockchain-based applications across ten different categories serving government departments.
