SlowMist Founder: Distrust in OpenClaw stability; Claude Code security is more reliable

Gate News, March 8 — Yu Xian, founder of SlowMist Technology, posted on X platform stating that he does not trust the stability or resilience of OpenClaw, but feels more confident in Claude Code and believes security is one of the core goals of software engineering. Yu Xian pointed out that both prioritize security highly, and reported vulnerabilities are responded to promptly. However, some OpenClaw forks or reference versions lack sufficient security investments. He mentioned that although OpenClaw has sandbox mechanisms and attempts to implement finer-grained permission controls, its inherently “open” nature means a more自由 system may be harder to control, and “excessively自由 OpenClaw can easily go out of control.” He believes the contradiction between openness and controllability is a common dilemma users face when using OpenClaw in real-world production environments, and that Claude Code offers greater trust in security.
