US PPI came in at 4%, lower than the 4.6% expected.
But still up from last month's data of 3.4%.
CPI has already moved higher too.
So even if the numbers are coming in “below expectations,” the trend itself is still going up.
And that’s not a great setup for risk assets.

$BTC is once again pushing against the $74K resistance, currently trading almost at $75K.
The approach is always the same: resistance is resistance until it is not, so use some caution here.
But if we finally manage to break this level, we could see a quick expansion to $80K.

Inflation is expected around 3.4%, up sharply from 2.4% last month.
A big part of this comes from rising oil and energy prices due to the war.
So even if the number comes in as expected, it still means inflation is moving back up.
That’s not good for risk assets.
And it gives the Fed even less reason to cut rates anytime soon.
