Gelonghui, April 7 | Sinopec Refining & Chemical Engineering (02386.HK) announced that, recently, the group and Kazakhstan Dinitrile Limited Liability Company ( (hereinafter referred to as the “project owner” )) signed an EPC engineering general contracting contract for the Kazakhstan Dinitrile and Rubber project. Under this contract, the group will provide EPC engineering general contracting services for the construction of this project. The contract’s main scope includes engineering design, procurement, and construction of the relevant process units, public utilities, and auxiliary facilities. The value of this contract is approximately US$1.093 billion. The total value of this contract will be counted as the group’s outstanding contract amount.

The project is located in Atyrau Province, Kazakhstan. The project owner is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kazakhstan Samruk-Kazyna Fund. The project focuses on the production of diene rubber. After completion, the annual rubber production capacity will reach 300,000 tons.
