People still think coding is the job.


It isn’t.
Code was just the interface we used to express solutions. It was the bottleneck, not the value.
AI removes that bottleneck.
Now the constraint shifts:
- Can you define the problem clearly?
- Can you decompose it into solvable parts?
- Can you verify the output is actually correct?
I’ve noticed the engineers who struggle with AI are the ones who tied their identity to typing speed or syntax memory. That was never the scarce resource.
Problem definition is.
Verification is.
Taste is.
AI increases throughput. It doesn’t replace judgment. And judgment is what companies were paying for the entire time.
