Oman states it has signed an agreement not to charge ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz

On the 8th local time, Oman’s Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Mawali, stated at the consultation meeting that Oman has signed an agreement related to international shipping. According to the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz is a natural passage and no fees can be charged to passing ships.

He also pointed out that currently, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs is communicating and negotiating with all parties on related issues. (CCTV Reporter Wang Yin)
