Reporters learned from the traffic police department of Kanas Scenic Area in Xinjiang that starting from the night of February 19, heavy snow and strong winds have occurred locally. Multiple areas of snow sliding have happened on the scenic area roads, posing significant hidden dangers for further snow slides. Additionally, the snow and ice on the roads make them unsuitable for passage. To ensure public safety, in accordance with Article 40 of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Traffic Management Team of Kanas Scenic Area Branch, in cooperation with the Buerjin County Public Security Bureau Traffic Management Team and the Habahe County Public Security Bureau Traffic Management Team, implemented temporary traffic control on the following road sections today (February 20) at 7:00 PM.
