Malaysia raises the March reference price for crude palm oil, with export duty remaining unchanged at 9%

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) announced on its website that the country has increased the reference price for March crude palm oil, while maintaining the export duty at 9%. Malaysia is the world’s second-largest palm oil exporter. The reference price for March crude palm oil is 3,896.09 MYR per ton ($996.95), up from the February reference price of 3,846.84 MYR per ton. When palm oil prices are between 2,250 and 2,400 MYR per ton, an export duty of 3% is levied. If prices exceed 4,050 MYR per ton, the maximum duty rate is set at 10%.
