During the Consensus conference this week, Donald Trump Jr. denied that the Trump family has stepped back from World Liberty Financial, characterizing exit speculation as social media-driven misinformation. Trump Jr. said he and his siblings remain actively involved, despite rumors triggered by Trump family names disappearing from public-facing website pages. Forbes reported on April 30 that Eric Trump no longer appeared on the leadership page of Alt5 Sigma, a fintech company linked to World Liberty.

World Liberty Financial is also engaged in a public legal dispute with TRON co-founder Justin Sun. According to Crypto News Australia, World Liberty sued Sun for defamation on May 4, alleging he made false claims about the firm, including that it treated the crypto community as a “personal ATM.” Sun had previously sued World Liberty, alleging the company froze tens of millions of dollars worth of WLFI tokens.
