Over Foundation Halts All Over Protocol Infrastructure Operations Due to Financial Constraints

Gate News message, April 28 — The Over Foundation announced it has ceased operations of all Over Protocol infrastructure and services, including OverWallet, OverNode, OverFlex, RPC nodes, block explorer, and related APIs, due to financial limitations. The foundation stated there are no plans to restore these services.

Over Protocol is a Layer 1 blockchain designed to be decentralized in architecture. However, with the foundation halting operations, the network may face significant challenges in continued operation. Block production will depend on whether independent validators continue running the open-source client, and the foundation cannot guarantee this. The network’s viability as a Layer 1 now rests on community-driven validator participation.

The foundation expressed that the project’s original mission was to enable ordinary users to participate in Layer 1 network development. It thanked the community for their support while expressing regret over being unable to sustain the project’s progress.
