Mali Extremist Attacks Kill 70+ in Recent Wave, Group Linked to Al-Qaeda Claims Responsibility

According to Jin 10 Data, multiple armed attacks in central Mali on May 9 killed dozens of people. A Mali extremist organization linked to Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attacks. Combined with at least 30 deaths from the same group’s attack on May 6, the death toll over recent days has exceeded 70, according to a local official.
