OpenAI introduces Codex Security, an AI-driven code security review agent

Gate News reports that on March 7th, OpenAI announced the launch of Codex Security, an AI-powered application security agent capable of discovering vulnerabilities, verifying them, and suggesting fixes. Codex Security originated from Aardvark, a security research agent that OpenAI tested last year with a small group of clients. The platform can analyze code repositories, perform stress tests on suspicious vulnerabilities in sandbox environments, generate proof-of-concept (PoC) attack code to confirm the impact of vulnerabilities, and propose fixes. Starting today, OpenAI is offering Codex Security as a research preview to enterprise, commercial, and educational customers, allowing these clients to use the tool free of charge for the first month.
