Promethios wurde Ende Mai 2023 gestartet. Sie starteten gleichzeitig auf Ethereum, Arbitrum und Optimism mit 6,9% des Angebots in LP-Positionen gesperrt. Anfang Juni verteilten sie mit Airdrop0 12,8% des Angebots an die Community. Es wurde von Van Ghoul (xGhoul0x) gegründet, der einer der Gründer von Based.Money während des Defi-Sommers 2020 war.
