April — SpaceX hat Elons Musk Vergütung an große Meilensteine geknüpft, darunter die Einrichtung einer Million Menschen umfassenden Siedlung auf dem Mars, das Erreichen einer massiven Leistungsfähigkeit für Orbital-Computing und das Erreichen einer Unternehmensbewertung von 7,5 Billionen US-Dollar.

Im Rahmen dieser Vereinbarung erhält Musk umfangreiche Aktienzuteilungen nur dann, wenn er diese Ziele erreicht; bis dahin bezieht er lediglich ein Mindestgehalt. Die Vergütungsstruktur ist höchst unkonventionell und könnte potenziellen Wettbewerb um Musk’ Aufmerksamkeit mit seiner Rolle bei Tesla schaffen.
