Laut einer Nachricht von ChainCatcher hat der ehemalige SafeMoon-CEO John Karony am ersten Gerichtstag in New York über soziale Medien erklärt, dass er “keine Betrügereien durchgeführt hat”, seine Unschuld beteuert und den Plattform-Gründer Kyle Nagy beschuldigt, der Drahtzieher des Mittelverwendungsereignisses zu sein. Nagy, der angeklagt wurde, ist nach Russland geflohen. Karony wird wegen Wertpapierbetrugs, Geldwäscherei und weiteren zwei Anklagepunkten beschuldigt, und der Fall soll bis zum 26. Mai verhandelt werden. Derzeit hat er eine Kaution von 3 Millionen Dollar. Laut vorherigen Berichten wird das US-Justizministerium die Betrugsanklage gegen den ehemaligen CEO von SafeMoon weiter vorantreiben.
