ME News Report, April 18 (UTC+8), Microsoft’s Scott Hanselman and Kalyan Kaki recently demonstrated the pathway to migrate local Oracle databases to Oracle AI Database@Azure. This service runs on Oracle Exadata dedicated infrastructure, with Oracle database services deployed directly within Azure data centers, enabling enterprises to achieve full Oracle database performance and features within the Azure cloud environment. The demonstration also showed how to connect Oracle data to Microsoft Fabric for data analysis, and leverage this data to build AI experiences through Microsoft Foundry and Copilot Studio, including “Agent Experience.” The article suggests that this provides enterprises with a migration path that allows them to maintain their Oracle database investments while utilizing Azure’s cloud scale and Microsoft’s analytics and AI services to accelerate innovation.
