Gate Leverage Shield is a structured leverage product from Gate that features no forced liquidation and a maximum loss cap. During the initial launch period, new users are eligible for a 100% APR subsidy on their first order. Supporting leading assets like BTC and ETH, this product is well-suited for trend-based traders.

What Issues Does Gate Smart Leverage Address?

In the crypto market, many traders incur losses not because they misjudge the market direction, but because they are prematurely "forced out" by sharp short-term volatility. The forced liquidation mechanism in traditional leveraged or perpetual contracts is at the heart of this problem.

Gate Smart Leverage was created to address this pain point. By using a structured approach, this product ensures users do not need to worry about forced liquidation during the holding period, allowing them to focus on market trend analysis.

Does Smart Leverage Really "Eliminate Liquidation"?

It is important to note that while Gate Smart Leverage does not trigger forced liquidation during the holding period, this does not mean it is without risk.

The product caps the maximum loss at the principal amount of each subscription. If, at settlement, the market moves entirely against the user's prediction, the user could still lose all invested funds. However, unlike traditional contracts, there are no margin calls or negative equity scenarios.

Understanding the 100% APR Subsidy for New Users

During the initial launch, Gate offers a 100% APR (annualized) cash subsidy to users who subscribe to Smart Leverage for the first time.

This subsidy is independent of trading results; regardless of whether the order is profitable or not, it is calculated based on the subscription principal and holding period. The maximum subsidy is 20 USDT, which will be credited as GT to the spot account after settlement.

From a user experience standpoint, this effectively provides a "risk buffer" for the first transaction.

Is Smart Leverage Better for Beginners or Experienced Traders?

Gate Smart Leverage is not exclusively designed for beginners. While the no-forced-liquidation mechanism reduces operational complexity, the product still requires leverage and market trend judgment.

It is best suited for the following users:

  • Those with a clear market outlook who prefer not to monitor the market constantly
  • Contract traders whose experience has been negatively affected by "liquidation wicks"
  • Trend traders looking to control their maximum loss

Advantages and Disadvantages Compared to Traditional Contracts

Compared to perpetual contracts, Gate Smart Leverage offers greater stability and predictability, but less flexibility. Traditional contracts are more suitable for short-term trading, while Smart Leverage is better suited for medium- to short-term trend strategies.

What Risks Should You Consider Before Participating?

Gate Smart Leverage is a non-principal-protected product. Incorrect market judgment can still result in the loss of principal. Before participating, users should fully understand the product’s settlement logic and manage their position sizes appropriately.

AI-Native Settlement Layers: How United Stables Is Building the Next Financial Rail

Stablecoins were originally designed as dollar substitutes within exchanges, primarily used for asset pricing and trade settlement. As on-chain financial ecosystems have matured, their role has expanded beyond simple payments to include collateral assets, cross-chain liquidity mediums, and unified settlement units. In particular, as AI systems and automated agents begin to participate directly in economic activity, demand has risen sharply for programmable value units capable of instant settlement. This shift is pushing stablecoins toward the role of foundational financial infrastructure.

Most Web3 identity systems remain confined to on-chain environments and struggle to achieve meaningful adoption in real world settings. Through a DePIN architecture and physical verification hardware, Humanity Protocol aims to bring decentralized identity into access control systems, hospitality, public services, and offline events, allowing on-chain identity to function not just as a digital credential, but as foundational infrastructure for real world access.

Aster vs Hyperliquid: Which Perp DEX Will Prevail?

Aster and Hyperliquid are the two representative protocols of the "purpose-built L1 path" within the current decentralized perpetual exchange (Perp DEX) sector. As a pioneer in the field, Hyperliquid has built a deep liquidity moat through its highly mature order book architecture and strong community consensus. Conversely, Aster, as a rising challenger, seeks to leapfrog the competition in high-performance trading through more aggressive multi-chain aggregation logic, private transaction modules, and an underlying execution environment optimized for 2026 market demands.

Aerodrome Tokenomics: How ve(3,3) Powers Base's Most Profitable DEX

AERO is the native token of Aerodrome Finance, a core decentralized exchange and liquidity protocol in the Base ecosystem. It is primarily used for liquidity incentives and ecosystem operations. veAERO is a governance NFT that users receive by locking AERO, representing both voting power and the right to share protocol revenue. Through a dual track structure of AERO as a utility token and veAERO as a governance credential, Aerodrome separates liquidity usage value from long term governance power, allowing participants to act as liquidity providers, governance decision makers, and revenue sharers within the same system.
