Guangnong Sugar Industry Boyuan Company: The bagging rate of bagasse this crushing season is 9.70%

On March 31, 2026, Guangxi Nongtou Sugar Industry Group Co., Ltd.'s entrusted enterprise Guangxi Boxuan Food Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Boxuan Company”) successfully completed the 2025/2026 crushing season, achieving the full crushing task of 1.5 million tons of sugarcane. Data shows that during this season, the company’s bagasse packing rate reached 9.70%, ranking first among sugar-making enterprises in Guangxi that use pure burned bagasse boilers. This achievement marks the company’s advancement in resource comprehensive utilization and high-efficiency energy management, and is a vivid practice in implementing the national “dual carbon” goals and promoting green low-carbon transformation.

This season, Boxuan Company crushed a total of 1.5 million tons of sugarcane, with an average daily processing of 13k tons, producing 196k tons of sugar, with a sugar conversion rate of 13.09%. The first-grade white sugar yield reached 100%, with Grade A accounting for 99.33%, an increase of 1.26 percentage points year-on-year. In energy saving and consumption reduction, the bagasse packing rate was 9.70%, steam-to-sugar ratio decreased to 31.98%, coal consumption per ton of sugarcane was 2.7 tons of standard coal, and external electricity sales reached 20.43 million kWh. A series of core indicators steadily improved, demonstrating the company’s achievements in green development driven by refined management and technological breakthroughs.

As a pure burned bagasse boiler sugar-making enterprise, Boxuan Company adheres to technological empowerment and lean production, continuously focusing on improving steam production efficiency and reducing steam consumption, systematically promoting energy saving and consumption reduction. From 2024 to 2025, the company invested over 150 million yuan in technological upgrades, focusing on upgrading the power system, crushing capacity expansion, and refining process improvements. Li Shuyi, director of the company’s power workshop, explained that after the boiler and steam turbine units were renovated, the steam output per ton of sugarcane significantly increased, and steam operation became more stable. Meanwhile, in the refining stage, the company promoted three-effect juice-steam boiling technology and other heat energy recycling techniques, replacing part of the new steam with residual heat juice steam, greatly reducing steam consumption. Excess bagasse was efficiently converted into electricity for external delivery, and the bagasse packing rate steadily increased.

In terms of intelligent construction, in 2025, Boxuan Company invested approximately 60.45 million yuan to expand and upgrade production lines, updating key equipment such as crushing, boiling, and juice separation, and supporting automation systems like automatic cane dropping, crusher control, and boiler DCS optimization. Through “smart transformation and digitalization,” production bottlenecks were addressed, achieving a stable full-load operation of 13k tons per day, with simultaneous improvements in production efficiency and energy utilization.

Currently, Boxuan Company has fully entered the equipment maintenance and technological upgrade deepening stage, laying a solid foundation for high-efficiency operation in the next crushing season. The company will lead with technological innovation, focus on green development, continuously optimize processes, improve management efficiency, and solidly promote “cane replanting” and spring plowing production, strengthening raw material supply.
