U.S. media reports that more than a thousand U.S. troops have been withdrawn from Bahrain

ME News Report, April 5 (UTC+8): On April 3, the United States’ National Public Radio quoted a statement from a U.S. Navy spokesperson saying that since the start of the conflict between the United States and Iran, 1,500 U.S. military personnel and their families stationed at a U.S. military base in Bahrain have been “repatriated back to the United States.” The report also noted that other U.S. military bases in the Middle East have carried out personnel evacuations, but it is not yet clear how many.
