Premier canadien : Israël « invasion illégale » du Liban

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on March 31 condemned Israel’s military operations in Lebanon, calling it an “illegal invasion” that infringes on Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Trudeau said, “Lebanon needs a ceasefire. This (Israel’s military action) is an illegal invasion that violates Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.” He also stated that the Lebanese government is working to take action in response to Hezbollah’s “threats” against Israel, which is the justification Israel claims for the invasion. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on March 29 said he had instructed the Israel Defense Forces to expand the “buffer zone” controlled in southern Lebanon. Israeli Defense Minister Gantz on March 31 stated that after the current conflict ends, Israel will continue to control the “buffer zone” south of the Litani River in southern Lebanon. (CCTV News)
