🔥Economist: Core inflation is somewhat weak but pressures are lagging, and inflation remains sticky


On April 10, Peter Cardillo, Chief Market Economist at Sparta Capital Securities in New York, commented on the U.S. March CPI report, stating that core inflation was slightly below expectations, while overall inflation was higher than anticipated. He pointed out that the data has not yet reflected the full impact of the energy crisis, and further inflation increases are expected, but the lower-than-expected core inflation rate indicates that energy prices will gradually transmit throughout the system. Currently, inflation remains high and sticky.
