The fire at the Russian Tatarstan Republic Petrochemical Plant has resulted in 2 deaths and 72 injuries.

On March 31 local time, the Tatarsitan Republic of Russia’s Kamyshevsk Petrochemical Plant reported a fire within the plant area, and emergency services have quickly begun response efforts. The plant stated that as of now, the death toll from the incident has risen to 2, and the number of injured has increased to 72, with 8 people hospitalized for treatment. According to reports, the preliminary cause of the fire is believed to be equipment malfunction. (CCTV News)
