China Chemical News reported that during the spring plowing season, China National Offshore Oil Corporation’s subsidiary, China National Offshore Oil Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CNOOC Chemical), focuses on the entire production, transportation, and service chain. By leveraging digital intelligence as a key driver, it strives to deliver a “triple concerto” of spring farming agricultural supply security.

CNOOC Chemical’s Fudao Company deeply integrates cutting-edge digital technologies to enable precise operations, allowing frontline staff to adjust process parameters accurately based on real-time cost analysis. This transition from “experience-based operation” to “data-optimized operation” not only safeguards Fudao’s peak spring season safety with “zero accidents,” but also achieves full capacity release—its ammonia synthesis unit in the first phase set a long-cycle operation record of 543 days of continuous operation in early 2026. Similarly, CNOOC Chemical’s Hubei Dayukou Company’s monoammonium phosphate (MAP) plant increased February output by 29% year-on-year, enhancing production efficiency and adding a green development element to fertilizer supply security.

Fertilizer production is not enough; it must also be transported swiftly. CNOOC Chemical’s Bayi Port terminal introduced an intelligent container dispatch system, replacing manual operations with automation equipment. Through multimodal transport modes—“sea + rail + short-distance transshipment”—the efficiency of spring farming material transfer was significantly improved. “This year, we successfully launched multiple efficient transportation routes from Bayi to Fangchenggang, Chaoshan, and other locations, vigorously promoting the ‘break bulk into containers’ model, greatly increasing transportation efficiency. In February, container urea transportation increased by 50% year-on-year,” said the head of CNOOC Chemical’s Bayi Port logistics center. They also rely on GPS and IoT technologies to build a full-tracking network, ensuring every bag of fertilizer arrives safely and on time to the fields.

Delivering fertilizer is just the starting point; scientific crop-specific solutions and attentive on-field services are key to helping farmers increase yields. At the chili fields in Nanbao Town, Lingao County, Hainan Province, CNOOC Chemical’s agrochemical team helped farmers withstand cold waves; at the banana plantation in Chengmai County, Hainan, farmer Li has been applying CNOOC’s “Fudao” fertilizer for five consecutive years, increasing per-mu yield by 5% and saving thousands of yuan annually in agricultural costs.

In recent years, CNOOC Chemical has established cross-regional, specialized agrochemical service teams, conducting hundreds of agricultural technology demonstration activities annually, providing free soil testing and scientific fertilization services directly to farmers. By continuously promoting precision agrochemicals, more land is being revitalized. In Guangxi’s rice demonstration zone, yield reached 815 kg per mu, an increase of 33%, with an additional income of over 525 yuan per mu; in Guangdong Shanwei’s Fudao demonstration field, yield was 501.75 kg per mu, up 13.3%, with an economic benefit increase of 211.41 yuan per mu.
