ME News message: On April 5 (UTC+8), U.S. President Trump posted on social media. He wrote: Fellow Americans, over the past few hours, the U.S. military has carried out one of the boldest search-and-rescue operations in U.S. history, targeting one of our outstanding military officer crew members. I am very excited to tell you that he is now safe and sound!

This brave warrior was previously behind enemy lines, trapped in the treacherous mountainous terrain of Iran, while being searched for by our enemies, who are closing in every hour. But he was never truly alone, because his commander-in-chief of the three branches of the armed forces, the Secretary of War, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his fellow servicemen have been monitoring his location around the clock and carefully planning his rescue.

At my instruction, the U.S. military deployed dozens of fighter jets armed with the world’s “deadliest weapons” to bring the missing pilot back. He was injured, but will fully recover in the future.

This miraculous search-and-rescue operation was carried out after another brave pilot was successfully rescued yesterday. We did not confirm that operation earlier because we did not want to jeopardize the second rescue. We will never leave behind any American warrior! The fact that we were able to complete these two operations and that not a single American was lost—or even injured—once again proves that we have already achieved overwhelming air superiority and air advantage over Iran.
