On the 12th, Russia’s Ministry of Defense released a situation report stating that in the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out strikes on energy and transportation infrastructure serving the Ukrainian military across 149 areas, as well as temporary deployment locations of the Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries. Russia’s air defense forces shot down 3 guided air bombs, 6 HIMARS rockets, and 447 fixed-wing drones. The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported that on the same day, its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed dozens of Ukrainian drones over many places, including over Belgorod Oblast.

On the same day, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released combat situation information stating that in the past day there were 128 battles in the frontline areas, and Ukrainian forces repelled 58 attacks by Russian forces. Ukrainian forces launched strikes against targets including Russian force assembly areas, artillery systems, drone control stations, and command posts.

According to information from Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a strike on the Tikhoretske oil pumping station, an important energy facility in southern Russia, which triggered a major fire. The facility is one of southern Russia’s largest oil transshipment hubs, with large oil storage tanks and terminals. (CCTV News)
