Former Ele.me employee voluntarily surrenders after accepting a bribe of 250k yuan

The criminal judgment recently disclosed by the People’s Court of Putuo District, Shanghai shows that the court recently sentenced a former employee of Ele.me who was not a state official for accepting bribes. The sentence is eight months in prison with a one-year probation, and a fine of 30,000 yuan.
The judgment states that during his tenure as the head of the Ele.me integrated service provider management team, the employee used his position to assist a Shanghai-based company in continuing to handle business in Taiyuan, Shanxi, and Jinhua, Zhejiang, and received bribes illegally in cash totaling 250k yuan in three separate instances.
