As someone who has done this, it's not quite right. I once wanted to resign and was offered a big raise. I accepted.

Until two years later, working there was nothing special. The dynamics remained the same.
Eventually, I resigned not because I was uncomfortable or fired, but because I decided to focus on crypto.
