Mars Finance reports that on April 11, according to AXIOS, senior U.S. officials stated that they had not received any threats of Iran attacking ships.
Earlier reports indicated that Iran claimed to have monitored a U.S. destroyer sailing from the port of Fujeirah in the United Arab Emirates toward the Strait of Hormuz.
After closely monitoring its movements, the Iranian armed forces immediately informed the Iranian delegation negotiating in Pakistan.
The delegation then conveyed their position to the U.S. side through a Pakistani mediator and issued a clear warning to the destroyer: if it continued to approach the Strait of Hormuz, it would be struck within 30 minutes, and negotiations would be affected.
Under the firm response of Iran’s armed forces and the timely warning from the negotiation team, the U.S. side ultimately ordered the destroyer to stop advancing and turn back.
