These overnight trains run for extended hours, and the waiting areas at Shanghai Station, Shanghai Hongqiao Station, Shanghai South Station, and Songjiang Station remained open all night, with enhanced lighting, hot water, charging facilities, and other basic services.
At the same time, Shanghai Metro extended its operating hours. Lines 1, 2, 9, 10, and 17, according to train schedules, added extra services until midnight; in the early hours of the 24th, lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, and 10 operated additional passenger trains before and after the first trains of the day, depending on the situation.
For buses, Shanghai launched dedicated bus lines from Hongqiao Railway Station to Hongqiao Business District, Jing’an Temple, Qibao, and Jiuting, making it easier for travelers arriving in Shanghai during the early morning hours.
