Gate News Nachrichten, 12. März, Ortszeit am 11. März, erklärte der iranische Botschafter in Zypern, Ali Reza Salarian, in einem Interview, dass der neue oberste Führer Irans, Ajatollah Khamenei, bei den US- und israelischen Luftangriffen auf Iran am 28. Februar verletzt wurde.

Zuvor hatte der Sohn des iranischen Präsidenten Pestehziyan, Youssef Pestehziyan, am 11. März in den sozialen Medien geschrieben, dass Ajatollah Khamenei „sicher“ sei. Youssef Pestehziyan sagte: „Ich habe gehört, dass Ajatollah Khamenei verletzt wurde. Ich habe Freunde gefragt, die mit ihm in Kontakt stehen. Sie sagten, er sei wohlauf.“ (CCTV News)
